Cabinet photo of Empress Alexandra Feodorovna by famous A. The image has no date stamp, but looks to be a circa of 1890's or so. This cabinet photo measures approximately 4 1/4" by 6 1/2". With left imprint stamp "Pasetti". The card may have light wear, scratching, toning, fading, minor staining, spotting, soft or dinged corners and slight cupping as shown in pics. Petersburg to an Italian father and German mother. He studied at the Imperial Academy of the Arts, but gave up traditional arts to become a photographer. By 1882, he had established a studio on Nevsky Prospect. His work came to the attention of Empress Maria Feodorovna and he soon received commissions to photograph members of the Imperial family and court in his studio as well as in the Imperial residences.

Pasetti made many of the best-known photos of members of the Imperial family in the 1880s and 1890s and was awarded a Gold Medal at the 1900 Paris International Exposition. Alix of Hesse and by Rhine later Alexandra Feodorovna Romanova (Russian:?????????????????????????????????????? Imperatritsa Aleksandra Fyodorovna Romanova) (6 June 1872 - 17 July 1918), was Empress consort of Russia as spouse of Nicholas II, the last Emperor of the Russian Empire.

Born a granddaughter of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom, she was given the name Alexandra Feodorovna upon being received into the Russian Orthodox Church, which canonized her as Saint Alexandra the Passion Bearer in 2000. Alexandra is best remembered as the last Tsarina of Russia, as one of the most famous royal carriers of the hemophilia disease, and for her support of autocratic control over the country. Her notorious friendship with the Russian mystic, Grigori Rasputin, was also an important factor in her life. Most often, our merchandise is old and or used.
