IMPERIAL RUSSIAN PORCELAIN DINNER BOWL FROM 1901 ALEXANDRINSKY TURQUOISE SERVICE. This bowl is in beautiful condition. Up for your consideration 100% ORIGINAL Russian porcelain dinner bowl from the Alexandrinsky Turquoise Service, Imperial Porcelain Factory, Saint Petersburg, 1901. The turquoise blue ground border relieved with cartouches painted with brightly colored birds, each plate having a unique grouping, the ground with gilt laurel garlands. The reverse with the green cypher mark of Nicholas II dated 1901. Diameter just over 9 1/2 in.

Depth roughly 1 1/2 in. Perfect condition: no restoration, no cracks or losses.

The Alexandrinsky (or Alexandrinskii) Turquoise Service was commissioned by Empress Alexandra Feodorovna in 1899 for use in the Winter Palace. The service, which came to be called in honor of the Empress, comprised almost 1,300 pieces and was based on a original service by Sèvres in the palace stores. There is NO RETURN for this item.
