They are also decorated with the personal monogram of Alexander III the Emperor of Russia in the period 1881 1894. The cufflinks are made by the workmaster Erik Kollin who worked for Carl Faberge and was in charge of all Faberge workshops until 1886. The cufflinks are marked with the respective Russian Imperial silver hallmark.

Such jewels were ordered by the Russian Imperial court to the court jeweler Carl Faberge and were personally presented by Tsar Alexander III on various occasions to his closest entourage and friends.
