Imperial Russian Faberge 14k Gold 4ct Diamond Crown Ring-Awarded by Nicholas II. This product data sheet is originally written in English. The ring has been presented personally by Tsar Nicholas II to his niece Princess Irina Alexandrovna of Russia. The ring comes from her family estate.
Princess Irina Alexandrovna of Russia /1895 -1970/ was the only daughter and eldest child of Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich of Russia and Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna of Russia. She was the first grandchild of Tsar Alexander III and the only biological niece of Tsar Nicholas II. Irina was married to the wealthiest man in Imperial Russia, Prince Felix Felixovich Yusupov. Her husband was one of the men who murdered Grigori Rasputin, "holy healer" to Irina's cousin, the hemophiliac Tsarevich Alexei Nikolaevich, in 1916.
The ring is decorated with a breathtaking HUGE approx 3.5ct central old Rose Cut Diamond with snow white G color. The diamond is 11mm in diameter and looks like 5ct big. (modern cut diamond with same size of 11mm will be 5ct).It is a very clear stone with no black carbon inclussions. It has only one natural internal feather inclusion. The Sparkle of old cut diamonds is deeper and warmer, almost glowing in a way that draws the eye into the stone instead of bouncing the light back out. This makes old cut diamonds star performers in candlelight and other low light settings. The crown is decorated with two diamonds of 0.25ct each and one Ruby.
The ring is signed with the Imperial Russian 56 hallmark for 14k gold and with Faberge's hallmark KF in Russian for Carl Faberge. 29mm high in total from bottom to the crown end. The ring comes with the original Faberge luxury morocco leather presentation box signed in Russian Faberge, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Odessa and decorated with the personal cypher monogram of Tsar Nicholas II on the top. NOTE:PLEASE OBSERVE CAREFULLY THE PHOTOS!
