Bibelot is a late nineteenth century word derived from the French word bel'beautiful', meaning a small item of beauty, curiosity or interest. The word ephemera is derived from the sixteenth century Greek word ephmera meaning a printed or hand written paper not meant to be retained for a long period of time. Rare printed menu dated 8th February 1900 with the family motto of the Sumarokov-Elston family "One goes Forward, but without Bending" embossed with the coat of arms of the Yusupov family. After his father-in-law died, Felix was granted special permission by Tsar Alexander III to carry the title Prince Yusupov as well as that of Count Sumarokov-Elston and to pass them both to his and Zinaida's heir which included Prince Felix Yuspov, Count Sumarokov-Elston, famous for taking part in the murder of Rasputin.
