Imperial Antique Russian Cossack Sledge 840 Silver Brooch

Imperial Antique Russian Cossack Sledge 840 Silver Brooch. The piece consists of the back plate of a horse and sledge with driver and two seated passengers. Two further horses are applied on top. The reins are of silvered brass wire. It is hallmarked to the clasp for 840 silver.

The brooch measures 2 inches (6 cm) in length, 1 ¼ inches (3cm) in height and ½ an inch (1.5cm) in depth. The brooch is in good order, the clasp works well.

Please Note: The brooch has been adjusted recently, so the Cossacks horse whip is now straight (as seen in the main photo) and not twisted as can be seen in some of the other photos.
