Genuine Antique Russian Imperial 56 K gold Earrings with Natural Solid Opals. I bought the earrings many years ago without stones, later on they were set with the polished natural solid crystal gem quality opals from Coober Pedy, South Australia. The opals are high domes and were mined over 40 years ago. Stamped with 56 gold hallmark stamp which is the equivalent of the modern 14 K gold and was used in Russian until 1927. The closure is back to front, easy to wear and to sleep. The opals are solid and were cut especially for these earrings in a ball shape, which also allow the opals display-reflect the colours better.
