Up for your consideration, is this hard to find and delightful 19th century imperial 1878 Russian sterling silver hunting egg. It is in excellent condition has the symbol 84 which is what the Russians use as their sterling mark, the makers Mark, which in this case is a bullshead which is the mark of Cyprian Labecki, the city Mark which is probably Moscow. The assayer mark Josef Sosnkowski. This Russian silver decorated egg stands on three scroll feet. The top of the covered egg has a pierced four sided knob.
The outside has decoration a rabbit on top of a shotgun, a flying duck and is encrusted what appears to be turquoise and coral. On the interior it has an upright rabbit standing on a flat ground, and displays all the Russian hallmarks. It stands approximately 4 1/8 inches tall, and weighs approximately 104.7 g.
