Antique Russian Imperial Icon Sterling Silver the King of Glory (55555)

The King of Glory icon depicts Jesus Christ. It does not have a plot related to the events of the Gospel. On the icon, the Savior is depicted sitting on a golden throne and holding an open book with a quote in his left hand. He raised his right hand up to bless the people standing in front of the icon. It is customary to write the name of the Savior in Greek letters at the top of the icon. In Ukraine, the King of Glory icon is very revered. It can be seen in Orthodox churches, temples and monasteries, in the homes of believers. Sometimes this image is also called the Savior on the Throne.
