Description : Thank you for considering this antique (late 19th/early 20th Century) 84 silver spoon from the Russian Empire. From the Greek letter Pi in the kokoshnik marking, it can be determined that his spoon was manufactured in Vilnius, now the capital of Lithuania but which was a province of the Russian Empire at the time. The maker's mark is assumed to read J. Because the Lithuanian language was traditionally written in the Latin alphabet. If flipped and read as Cyrilic letters, then the maker's mark would likely read G.
